Kale Crisps; lettuce that tastes like potato chips! Please eat the whole batch!

Want a recipe that is basically just lettuce but tastes similar to potato chips? Try Kale Crisps! You could legitimately eat the whole batch, and feel great about it. A friend inspired me to post this recipe after she tried them and fell in love

Kale is one of the most nutritious greens out there, I swear it! Read about its cleansing benefits below and get baking ;)

Kale Crisps
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:
1-2 bunches of kale
olive oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Remove kale from stalk, leaving the greens in large pieces.

 3.  Place a little olive oil in a bowl, and rub (with fingers!) over the kale.  Add as much or as little sea salt as you’d like.

 4. Lay kale out on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until it starts to turn a bit brown. Keep an eye on the kale, it can burn quickly. The crisps can go from hunter green to black in a flash! Use an even lower temperature if you want to play it safe.

5.  Turn the kale over and bake with the other side up.

6.  Remove ENJOY!

Variations:
Try different kinds of kale or collard greens. You can sprinkle with a little salt or spice such as curry or cumin after rubbing on olive oil for a little added flavor. I also try them with vinegar to make salt and vinegar crisps. YUM!
